For 90 venting or vent pipes exiting side wall floor or ceiling in new existing construction. Then turn on the dryer to test the flow of the dryer vent installation. Venting the dryer outside in cold weather wastes a lot of heat. Shorter dryer hose more rigid metal pipe reduces drying time utilities it pays for itself. Keep the pipe as short as possible give it a slight drop so any condensed water flows out and be sure to install a wall cap. Extend the pipe through the hole in the wall or floor and route it toward the vent cap.

You will need a 90 degree ell through the floor and another ell to change direction so you can vent it out a wall. To make the dyer more efficient you can buy an inexpensive heat diverter and install it in the exhaust duct of electric dryers only not gas dryers you ll save about 50 worth of heat per load in the winter. I would also install a collar around the floor opening to keep things from crawling in. Strong magnets self align attach dryer hose to exit vent.
